Product review : Redken All Soft

Hi everyone !

Today I want to talk about a range of product I bought a few months ago : the Redken All Soft shampoo, conditionner & treatment.

I have been using them for almost 2 months now and I thought I would share with you my impressions.

First of all, I have to say that I wash my hair every 2 days, and I use the hair treatment once a week, so already used lots of product.

This all Soft range is specially made for dry hair. It has argan oil and it’s supposed to improve hair’s condition…

What I like about the shampoo is the smell, it really smells good, and right after I wash my hair, it leaves it so soft and shiny.

What I dislike (and I don’t blame Redken for that, but I think it’s because it didn’t correspond with my hair type) is it doesn’t make lots of bubbles, I have to use lots of shampoo to cover my head and feel that I am washing everywhere correctly. Then after that, I need to rinse it very thoroughly, Also, I start to feel greasy the very next day. These products are heavy, so they have to nourish the hair’s core. I have dry tips, but I think not that much,  that’s why I soon feet greasy after one day.

The conditioner is good and does its job, I don’t have to use lots of product. And the treatment is really nice and using it just once a week is enough.

My hair dresser told me that this kind of soft shampoo is too gentle for my hair, that I should use a normal shampoo first (to atually clean the scalp) and then use that one (to soften the hair)… well, I think it’s a bit too much if I do that way every 2 days so maybe once a week should be fine ?

I think it’s a great product for people who really have dry hair, but maybe someday I will try another collection from Redken (without any oil inside), so if you have a recommendation I would be glad to hear it 🙂

Have you ever tried it ? Let me know what do you think about it !

Have a nice Sunday y’all !

xoxo

Hair length

Hi everyone,

Today I want to show you my hair length.

My hair arrives at my waist now. It grows really fast even though I cut it several times in a year, I can expect to get more than 2 cm (about 0.80 inches) each month, so it’s really fast ! I kept them very short and straight for a few years, and then I decided to let them look natural and curly.

I’ve had many hair styles these last 5 years, from very short to long hair, and I think the best for me is long hair. I was thinking to cut it a little because I sometimes feel I look like a lion 😉

Choosing the best hair treatments became really important to me, and I always look for great new products, so if you have any advices or any idea about which product I should try, I would be glad to hear it ! 🙂

What about you ? What’s your hair length ?

See you !

xoxo

How do I take care of my curly hair

First of all, I have to say something : I did try organic or paraben/silicon free shampoos for a little while. As a result my hair became dull and lifeless, with no volume and no curls, at all.

About a year ago, I decided to use “normal” shampoos again. I didn’t know which one to start with. My main concern was to have a healthy, curly and shiny hair ! (like most of any woman I bet !) I discovered TIGI thanks to my hairdresser (an amazing woman and the best hairdresser I’ve ever had). She was telling me that I should change my shampoos, that my hair was really becoming weak and probably because of a bad shampoo or treatment, I was starting to suffer from hair loss. So it became evident for me to change all I had and try something professional.

I started to use TIGI Bed Head Recharge (I will give you below the links where you can buy it). What I like about it, besides the sweet smell,  is the fact that it also makes lots of bubbles, I can rinse it easily and it makes an amazing shiny hair, leaving it light (the curls are well defined and the hair doesn’t feel heavy at all).

Just what I need ! But to keep a real curly hair and to avoid damages, I wanted to use something to protect them from the hair dryer (in winter I just can’t let my hair humid), and to avoid all the damages due to high heat, I used, before drying my hair, the blowdry lotion for thick massive hair, and after drying, I used the Foxy Curls contour cream, which controls the curls.

These products are both from  TIGI Bed Head, and they also smell very nice!

I usually wash my hair every 2/3 days, and once a week, I use a hair treatment. This year I tried several until I could find a really good one : L’Oréal Professionnel Curl contour. The great thing about it is that it doesn’t make me loose hair (some did and it was a pure nightmare) the smell is nice andit leaves the hair really soft. Finally, I decided to try argan oil. With summer, I stop using the hair dryer so I still need something to make my hair shiny, and I have found (still thanks to my hairdresser… ) the  Orofluido oil. This oil is a particular oil which uses the combination of 3 different oils : argan, linseed and cyperus oil. It has a little bit the smell of vanilla, but it isn’t so strong, and the great thing about this oil is that it doesn’t grease my hair.

DSC_0224 (2) I love all of these products and I really recommend for people who have same type of hair as me to use them.

Have you ever tried one of these products ?
